* = The Department of Anthropology at Indiana University is requiring that students enrolled in this course must have previously take ANTH-P405: Field Work in Archaeology.

 

ENROLLING AS A VISITING STUDENT

Students who are not currently enrolled at IU or IUPUI can enroll as a VISITING STUDENT and then transfer the credits back to their home college. See the following links for more information:

 

VOLUNTEERS

Volunteers are encouraged to participate in this project. Assistance is needed in field excavations, laboratory analysis, and historical/genealogical research. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older and commit to at least one week of service. Housing, food, and transportation are the responsibility of each volunteer.

All volunteers must complete and submit a Volunteer Application Form.

Room & Board

  • Housing will be prearranged at either a hotel in Tell City, Indiana or in a rental cabin near Derby, Indiana
  • $150 per week x three weeks = $450
  • Local students and those interested in finding their own housing arrangements are permitted, but are beholden to the same class schedule.
  • The cost of food will be the responsibility of each student.
