Unit Q
Teeth. All found in plow zone.
1 molar FS#1
1 canine FS#3
2 molars FS#5
1 molar FS#6
4 molars, 1 molar fragment,
3 incisors, 2 fragments too small FS#8
to identify
Unit SS
One tooth. Lower adult incisor (no root) found in plow zone.
FS#454.
Unit NN
One tooth. Premolar (no root) found in plow zone. FS#252.
Unit II
Both bones found below plow zone in upper layer of Feature 64.
Mandible. Center and right side. Four teeth (un-sided incisor,
right premolar, right first molar and right third molar) and two
roots (incisors) found in sockets. Right second molar lost
antemortem. FS#236.
Long bone shaft fragments (articulated). Identified as central
and distal humerus on cross-section.
Unit X
Plow Xone
One tooth and some craial and long bone fragments were
found in the plow zone.
Canine. FS#28.
Cranial fragments. All too small to identify. One
contains part of lambdoid suture, another has part of a
sinus, probably the mastoid sinus. FS#33.
Long bone fragments. One tibia fragment, others too
small to identfy. FS#53.
Burial Feature 1 contained cranial framents, long bone fragments
and part of a scapula. Nothing was found to indicate that remains
came from more than one individual.
FS#106
Level 1 of BF-1
Contained four packets of bone fragments.
A) 1 fragment right parietal
4 fragments too small to give positive identification (one
probably temporal)
B) 5 temporal fragments
5+ fragments too small for psitive identification
C) labeled "top"
Occipital
12 articulated fragments, external side up (see diagram)
Initially though to be right parietal because of lambdoid
suture evident from external view. Upon removal of soil
holding the fragments together, three mope fragments were
found (2 of them articulated) and the inside of one fragment
revealed a cruciform eminence and a large sulcus for the
transverse sinus. Identification is of an adult occipital.
D) group of unarticulated bone fragments held together by soil.
All fragments but one (a parietal fragment) large enough for
identification appear to be of the temporal bone. In
addition, removal of soil revealed articulated portions of a
right petrous temporal bone.
FS#133
Level 2 of BF-1
Frament of left femur shaft; head of left femur articulated with
fragment of left pelvis; fragments too small to identify.
FS#155
Level 2 of BF-1
Fragments too small to identify.
FS#163
Levels 3 and 4 of BF-1
Fragment of left proximal femur (does not include head of femur).
FS#164
Level 3 of BF-1
Fragment of right scapula (includes most of glenoid fossa).
