Gelélemend or John Killbock, the main Chief of the Delawares,
     and, properly speaking, the Chief of the Turtle sib.

Kogíeschquanóheel or Captain Pipe, the Chief proper of the
     Wolk sib, lives in Cascáscunk, and because he is a
     Captain, he leaves the performance of his Chief
     duties to

Gulssícamen or Captain Thomsen, who has been baptised by the
     Brethren as Mahony Ludwig, and who, now, moved from
     Tuscorawas to Schönbrun.

Welapachtschíechen or Captain Johnny, properly the Chief of
     Welsch-Hen [Turkey] sib.

Koquethagechton or Captain White Eyes, first Captain, etc.

Wingínund, second Captain, lives in Wahlhanding, ten miles
     from Goscháchgünk

Memoácanund White Eyes Cousin, the Great Counsellor with the
     Council in Goschachg. and friend of the Brethren

Lahelengõchwe, a Counsellor

Paemahótend, a Counsellor and friend of the Brethren

Pegílend, a Councellor and Friend

Teetpáchksehüs. Speaker at the Council, a secret enemy of
     the Brethren

Woakahólend, son of Nathanael Davis, a Councellor, now lives
     with Wingínund in Wahlhanding

Pelewiechin or Thom MacKee

Mamaltias, the Chief in Mahonink and all that belongs to it

Digásu, the Chief over Gajaháge

Twegachschásu, otherwise called Wyondochwelend, an Assistant-
     Chief, who, however, joined the Wicked Settlers, called
     Fluggy's Gang, several years ago.

Schingalees, a Counsellor, considers himself belonging,
     however, to Twegachschásu.

Welendaweéchen, the head-man or the Chief of those who are
     at Wabasch, he is a friendly ally of Welapachtschiéchens,
     but an enemy to the Brethren, and has said once to David
     to leave off his preaching, and, instead of it, teach
     Indians how to make gun-powder.

Mejãchguícund in Welapachtschiechens Community, a Councellor,
     lives between Lichtenau and Goschachgink, loves the
     Brethren.

Nachquáchkschüs or Elias, the Monsy Chief, lives in Wahl-
     handing, several miles away from Goschachgink. His
     advisers are

Unúmhãmen, brother of Abraham

Tenaungõchwe

Queelpackaúge

Echgóhund, the Chief on the Susquehannah

Quequénachgãt or Wunachkwechquélemey, the Chief of those
     Monsy who live around Goschgosching on the Allegheny,
     and

Wangómend, the Preacher's Assistant

Wyjãn, the Speaker of the local Monsy, a friend of the
     Brethren

Newallíke or Augustinus

Wisohaxen, an Indian preacher's brother

Pechpawáhlend, or Will. [lengthy account of him omitted here]

Chotachpúschüs, or Big Cat, an Indian highly respected in
     Goschachgünk, in Netawátwes, and Welapachtschiechens
     Brotherhood. He maintains to be the last one converted,
     we, however, think of him the opposite.

Masktschilitis, a Wássano, husband of Netawáwes' daughter.
     His wife, completely blind, is mentioned occasionally
     in Davids Diarium.

Killbock, a Counsellor, completely blind

Muchusemóchtin, servant with the Council and message-carrier,
     a young man who loves the Brethren very much.

Namães or Fish, a Counsellor, has lived in Nain for several years

Petapañíhhilla, or George Allen, the Skalped Man

Weliéchsit or Dellaware George, an enemy of the Brethren

Achsünnajúndam, a Monsy Councellor, lives right opposite of
     Goschachgünk and is brother of Anna, Abrahams wife.

Guschanátsi, called the hard Man by white people, the cruel
     [unfriendly] Shawanno Chief, with whom David once had
     a bad encounter

Coleschquà or Cornstalk, the Delawares call him Simaquán,
     the good Chief of Shawannos, who always supports peace

Thechsallañeési or John Snake, the Delawares call him
     Tschankácheus the Barbarian Captain, and who since the
     Shawana war went over to the wicked [unfriendly] Mingoes.

Chotscháwanne or Logan, the Great Shawanno of whom everybody
     is afraid, because he is such a great warrior and captain

Bimoágan or half-King, the Wyondott Chief who lives near Sandusky

Gajachschúta, the Chief and agent of the 6 Nations, lives two
     miles outside of Pittsburg.

Támenend or George Morgan, an agent

Wapimescheu or Alexander Mac Kee, former agent.
