List of Indian parties [from?] Canada who have

passed the Poste de Pianquichias to go against the Chickasaws, beginning the twenty-fourth of April, up to and including Sept. 8 of the year one thousand seven hundred and thirty-seven

LEGEND

A party of sixteen Kickapoo men passed the Wabash Post April 24 and has not returned; I have learned that the said party had brought in two men and one woman. Item

A party of sixty men, Sacs and Potawatomis from the St Joseph River, passed here May 9 and has not returned. I have learned from a man named Butteau that they had brought in three Chickasaw men. Item

A party of forty Piankashaw men from the village of Vermilion passed here May 10, returning from the Chickasaws. They brought in one man and carried a woman's scalp and two children. Item

I learned June 12 that a party of Miamis was returning from the Chickasaws, and that they had killed and taken eight persons, an equal number of men and women. Item

I learned in the course of July from several voyageurs who had returned from the Weas that a party of Kickapoos had brought in two men. Item

Since [then] two small Huron parties have brought in to Detroit 12 Chickasaws. It was the father of La Richardie who reported them to the Jesuits of Illinois.

I have also learned that another Huron party had passed the Wabash Post recently and that it had brought in 7 Chickasaws. Item
