Description Black and White Photographic Print affixed to 5"X8" card stock
This photograph was taken from a photographic tower standing immediately west of Mound F. The picture was taken to indicate the extent of activity during the summer of 1940.

At the lower right the upper cut off west side of Mound F can be seen. In the center background is Mound A. A light spot at the very left edge of the woods on the north end of Mound A marks freshly dug earth from the digging unit working on the stockade at the east and north corner of the village. A similar spot of freshly dug earth at the right of Mound A marks the unit working on the village proper.

Between Mound F and Mound A is the locale of the Plaza or Town Square. The ditch between the two mounds can be noted by the irregular vegetation line running from left to right.
